What is Adobe Illustrator?
Adobe Illustrator is a famous vector graphic design software artists or web designers use. The vector design software is known for its complexity and flexibility of points, lines, shapes, and curves to give you the best image quality at any size. One of the main confusions with Illustrator is, by far, the fact that it is a replacement for Adobe Photoshop. However, this is not true for the two products. At the same time, they have some of the same features, are somewhat complementary, and work perfectly together. Adobe PS is a raster graphics software, contrary to Illustrator, a vector design software.

- Alin - Cristian BîrlibescuApr 7, 20254.5What they liked
I've been using Adobe Illustrator since version 10 was released, way back in the year 2001. Although I found learning how ot use it quite a steep curve, since I used Photoshop extensively before, once I grasped the idea of vector based illustrations all went from good to better and better. I fully recommend it, especially for web-based purposed graphic, such as SVG.
Room for improvementThe only problem I had with Adobe Illustrator was while using it with a printing house. Although I prepared the graphic according to the standards, they had problems transferring it to the printing plates. Maybe their software was outdated. In the end, I had to reformat the graphic into CorelDRAW, to which they were accustomed.
